Woodside Cottage, Dartmouth Devon

From the A38 Exeter-Plymouth expressway, take the main A384 Totnes road. Follow the road signs towards Dartmouth, filtering left at Dartington and turning right at Totnes. Proceed for about 8 miles to Totnes Cross garage, where the A3122 Dartmouth road bears left. Continue along the Dartmouth road for at least another three miles, passing Woodlands Leisure Park on the right hand side, then the Dartmouth Golf Club on the left. Soon our own brown signs will indicate a right turn off the main road, towards Strete and Slapton, and then immediately right again down the little lane shown in the photo beside. Woodside Cottage is the only house to be seen after descending the hill, and it is up on the right hand side.

Please do not be lured into turning prematurely for Blackawton at the Forces Inn before you have reached Woodlands Leisure Park, because that route approaches the village from entirely the wrong side. We are remarkably easy to find if our directions are followed.

We like to welcome our guests on arrival and will gladly book a local meal in advance.

We would be grateful if our guests do not arrive for the first time until 4.30pm except by prior arrangement.

NB: We are only ½ mile from Wadstray House B&B on the main Dartmouth road, which has just closed.
