Rates

Our rates vary according the time of the year, the duration of the stay, and the room itself, but they always include:

• Delicious home cooked, locally sourced country breakfasts
• Generous extras in each room – teas, coffees, chocolate, mints, shampoos, etc
• Magnificent uninterrupted countryside views from every room
• Total tranquillity, far removed from noisy urban centres and heavy traffic
• Private off road car parking, otherwise often a problem in this area
• Totally free VoIP (internet) telephone calls to most UK and international destinations, plus wi-fi connections for laptop computers
• Traditional West Country hospitality which has long been lost elsewhere

Starting at £70 per room per night, our rates are based on two people sharing a double or a twin bedded room. As we do not have any single or family rooms, we only quote on a per room basis, not per person. Discounts are offered for stays of three days or more and occasionally for single occupation of a room. Due to the heavy demand for good places to stay around Dartmouth, one night stays are not normally available.

We believe that most people prefer personal contact with us before making a booking, so enquiries by phone are most welcome. Email enquiries should preferably be made via the Contact Page on our website.

Booking Procedures

Once we have confirmed availability of a room, we ask for a deposit before the booking is confirmed. This is now common practice with almost all B&Bs. The deposit, which is non refundable, can be paid securely online by clicking on one of the three buttons below:

We appreciate that some people still do not have access to the internet or are reluctant to use it, so in most instances we will continue to accept cheques for the deposit instead (payable to Mrs S.E. Adams).

General Terms and Conditions

Although we aim to run our B&B congenially without too many rules, the efficient operation of our business obliges us to clarify our terms and conditions:

1. Our rates are based on two adults sharing a double or twin bedded room for two nights or more. Rates for single night stays and/or single occupation of a room are on application, but these are often not available during the summer.
2. A non-refundable deposit of £60 per room (max 2 rooms) is payable at the time of the booking, or the reservation cannot be assured. Those who have internet access are requested to pay the deposit on-line, through our website, once we have confirmed availability. Alternatively, we will accept cheques sent immediately through the post, payable to Mrs S.E. Adams. As we do not yet have facilities of our own for processing credit or debit cards, payment of the balance due on departure must be made in cash or by sterling cheque.
3. In the event of any changes to a previously confirmed booking, we reserve the right to claim the full tariff for any part of the booking which, despite our best endeavours, we have been unable to re-let.
4. The house and gardens are unsuitable for children. No smoking or animals are allowed in the house.
5. The nature of our cottage and its surrounding terrain makes it unsuitable for persons with severely limited mobility. We can suggest alternative accommodation more suitable for their particular needs.
