Dartmouth B & B Accommodation - Woodside Cottage

We have three double bedrooms, all wonderfully unique and offering exceptionally comfortable en suite accommodation. One of the rooms converts to a sumptuous twin bedroom when required. All rooms face south-east and share the same glorious views both across the valley towards the South Devon coast and down towards Start Point lighthouse. With very little passing traffic, the only sounds to be heard are the babble of the brook below and the songs of the birds in the woods.

No effort or expense has been spared in refurbishing and maintaining our bedrooms to the highest possible standards in keeping with the character of this cottage. Each room has its own special style and has been individually decorated in soft pastel colours:

Green Room – Dual aspect with fabulous views in both directions. These can be enjoyed directly from a very comfortable king-sized bed. This room has just been totally refurbished with lovely new matching fabrics, and a fully tiled bathroom. In the newly revealed alcove are two small comfortable chairs and there are bookshelves on the wall above. As with all our bedrooms, the very thorough consideration put into all aspects of the design has led to surprisingly generous provision for a country cottage.

Primrose Room – A delightfully proportioned and very bright room with a comfortable full length bed fitted with a new memory foam mattress. It has a small entrance vestibule which also leads into a large shower room. Much favoured by our regulars for many years. Magnificent views from both the bedroom and the shower room.

Blue Room – Our largest room with sumptuous twin beds, specially designed for conversion, when required, into a huge superking-sized double without any compromise on comfort. Wonderful views can be enjoyed directly from the bed. Shower room with lovely hand-painted tiles depicting the seaside, and fitted with a very large and stylish quadrant shower. Pretty wooden settee in alcove with bookshelves above.

Each room has its own individual interlined curtains and hand made bed covers. There is a comprehensive light refreshments tray with specially matched crockery, and usually a vase of flowers from the garden. New digital Freeview TVs have been installed, with integrated Ipod and DVD players. A hairdryer and many generous extras are also provided.

Guests are invited to make use of our sitting room with its small library and log fireplace, the conservatory with its unusual plants, the beautiful terraced gardens and a swinging seat on the patio overlooking the valley.
